Google Analytics: How to distinguish internal and sandbox traffic from real live traffic

Heavy internal use can artificially inflate the numbers you see in Google Analytics, especially as you start working on your site before you go live. This is because both your new website and your current live site will both be tabulating traffic into Google Analytics, and it's not always evident how to separate the two. Fortunately, using "Advanced Segments" in Google Analytics, you can filter out internal and/or sandbox traffic.


You may click below to automatically add certain pre-built Google Analytics advanced Segments: 


This will allow you to click on "Advanced Segments" and select the two new options.
